German Mauser 1939 date S/42 code Luger semi automatic pistol. Made 1939 at the Mauser factory. "1939" marked chamber, "S/42" marked toggle. "(eagle)/63" proofs throughout. No import mark found. Matching external serials minus the toggle pin. Both wood grip panels match. Aluminum bottom magazine does not match. Standard round barrel with blade front sight and v-notch rear. Original blued finish, with some minor touch up throughout. Original checkered wood grips. Blued finished tin magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 85% of its original finish with general edge wear and light touch up. Grips have light finish wear. There is a minor crack on the left panel, below the safety lever. Clean bore with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine has light finish wear. JWA
