(A) US Model 1818 Starr Contract Cavalry Saber, marked on the ricasso "US / P / JN / STARR", bare wood grips with iron ferrule. Scabbard is iron and displays areas of original Japanned black paint. CONDITION: Blade with a grey / dark patina with no nicks or rust. Grips missing leather with the wood in excellent condition, guard with traces of black finish. Scabbard very good with a few shallow dents. (B) Model 1903 bayonet with blade dated 1919, contained within its canvas covered scabbard. CONDITION: Blade retains about 80% blued finish, wood grips with minor dents. Scabbard canvas shows some staining and moderate wear, leather tip with wear to the finish. DG
