J. Stevens Arms & Tool Company Division of Savage Arms Model 520-30 slide action "Trench" gun made between 1940 and 1948. Blued 20" barrel with correct "6" hole blued heat shield. Correct "S" marked "pinkish" bayonet lug. Blued receiver with "P" over flaming bomb stamp on left near magazine tube along with "US" stamping above trigger guard. Correct "P" over flaming bomb stamping on right side near barrel. Plain walnut pistol grip stock with sling swivel attachment. Plain walnut forearm. Comes with military-style leather sling and dated 1917 Remington 1903 bayonet. CONDITION: 60% blue with some areas of pitting covered with cold blue. Wood has dry hand-rubbed finish with no cracks or breaks. Good original trench gun with some minor flaws and good mechanics and bore. Bayonet fits but out of the period of the gun and has been sharpened. DLM
