Lot consists of: (A) U. S. Model 1842 percussion pistol made by Henry Aston of Middletown, Connecticut. In the white finished round smoothbore barrel with brass halfmoon sight and marked with "SM" and "P" proof. Percussion lock marked "US H. Aston & Co" and "Middtn Conn 1852". Gun has brass hardware and captured ramrod. Walnut stock with illegible cartouches. CONDITION: Overall good with metal surfaces having a silvery patina. Brass hardware has mellow gold color with wood having traces of original finish with no repairs or restoration. Shootable bore and good mechanics. (B) Asa Waters manufactured Model 1836 flint lock martial pistol made in Millbury, Massachusetts in 1837. Round smoothbore barrel with blade front sight and marked at rear "US" "JA". Original flint lock marked "A. Waters Millbury, MS 1837". Walnut stock with "JCS" and " HHC" proofs. Iron hardware including captured ramrod. CONDITION: Overall good with light surface pitting. Wood has original finish with light usage marks. Dark bore with good mechanics. DLM
