French, Ca. 1920s. All cloth with molded felt face, beautifully detailed eyes with painted upper eyelashes and eye shadow on bottom, rosebud mouth, rosy cheeks, blonde mohair wig. Totally original in organdy and felt dress with matching hat, undies, shoes and socks. Though it was once thought that these wonderful little dolls were made by Lenci, it is now known that they were made in France by Gaston Perrimond under the trademark “La Nicette.” See article in Antique Doll Collector magazine.
