Manufactured by Brunn in Banska Bystrica in 1943. Receiver is marked "dou/ 43". Barrel is marked "BF dou" follow by several waffenamts. No matching numbers. Metal components are milled, but have been reblued. Stock has been sanded and revarnished. Complete with a period leather sling, and an earlier manufactured bayonet marked "ddl" (Josua Cort), with non-matching scabbard, and an "L. Krumm-Langhardt" 1940 dated leather frog. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting few areas of wear that are showing through to silvering and gray patina. Bore is good, showing light pitting overall, but retaining well defined rifling throughout. Stock is good as refinished, retaining the vast majority of it's reapplied varnish and showing scattered handling marks all around. Bayonet retains most of its arsenal applied blue finish, exhibiting some wear that shows through to gray patina. A nice and attractive looking K98 for one to bring to the range. MLW
