1881 vintage Colt U.S. Single Action Army Revolver, serial number 71213. 7 - 1/2" round barrel chambered in .45 Long Colt with Colt's Hartford, CT address on top. "Donut Ejector Rod" with bronze spring. Blackpowder frame marked "U.S.." "D.F.C." inspector marked, representing David Clark. 1 piece plain wood grips are marked "D.F.C" on one side and "1881" / "C.C.M" on the other. Matching serial numbers on bottom of grip, trigger guard, frame, barrel, and cylinder. Comes with Colt Factory Letter stating that this revolver was shipped to the U.S. Government after acceptance by Government Inspectors at the Colt Plant. CONDITION: Good, mostly gunmetal gray patina overall with light freckling. 1 piece grips lightly sanded with light inspection cartouches present. Action works correctly. Bore is bright with some corrosion toward muzzle but sharp rifling. -TN-
