J. Cooper Second Model First Variation double action percussion revolver, serial number 62. Patent date reads: "MANFD. BY J.M. COOPER & CO. PITTS'H. PA. PAT. JAN. 7. 1851" / "REISD JULY 26. 1859 PAT. APR. 25. 1854 PAT SEPT. 4 1861." Matching serial numbers on barrel, rammer, wedge, cylinder arbor, trigger guard, backstrap, and cylinder. 1 piece original plain walnut grips. Comes in an original case. CONDITION: Very good with original bluing fading to a dark gray patina with bluing in protected areas. Grips are very good and retain most of their original varnish. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand. Bore is dark with sharp rifling. Case and accessories are very fine. -TN-
