Lot consists of: (A) Mauser Model 98 Sporter most likely made in between World War I and World War II. Blued, half-round, half-octagon, ribbed barrel with ramped blade front sight and rear notched flip-down sight. Military-style action with spoon bolt and stripper clip guide. Blued finish with punched mark engraving and claw scope mounts. Engraved blued trigger guard with double set triggers. Walnut checkered stock with Schnabel forearm and cheekpiece. Horn buttplate and sling swivels. CONDITION: 60% fading blue with some pitting near end of muzzle. Small pitting on floorplate and action. Checkering has been retraced and wood has small usage dings and nicks. Dark bore with visible rifling. Good mechanics. (B) Gewehr 88 Mauser bolt action sporter made by G. Haenel Suhl, Germany. Half-round, half-octagon barrel with raised matted rib. Blued action with punch mark engraving and double set triggers and moveable peep sight. Walnut checkered Schnabel forend sporter stock with blued trapdoor buttplate and cheekpiece. Comes with leather carrying strap. CONDITION: 90% of a total reblue and refinish. Good bore. Mechanics need work, safety does not hold. DLM
