Kongsberg Model 62 Mauser style bolt action rifle made in Norway in the late 1960's and presented to Commander-in-Chief of the Allied Forces Northern Europe, Sir Walter Walker, who was in charge from 1969 to 1972, by the Inspector General of the Norwegian Army, Lieutenant General Harald Loken in October, 1971. All stated on sterling silver plaque on right side of the butt. Gun has blued round barrel with no rear sight and ramped hooded front sight. Blued Mauser style action with integral rear bridge peep sight, polished bolt, and blued trigger guard and floorplate. Checkered Blonde European hardwood stock with sling swivels. CONDITION: 90% original blue with light handling marks. 80% original varnish with light scratches with sharp checkering. Silver plaque is slightly tarnished. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
