Monobloc barrels with single bead front sight on deeply swamped concave rib. Left side of breech with "FUSIL ROBUST BREVETE SGDG", right side with "MANUFACTURE FRANCAISE D'ARMES ET CYCLES DE ST. ETIENNE". Light engraving at breeches and blocs. French diagnostic proofs on barrel flats for 16 gauge. Sling swivel soldered to underside of rib. Flat bottom forearm checkered in skipline pattern with rotary underlever release. Matching numbers on inside of iron and inside the lever. Extractors. Case colored boxlock action engraved with florals throughout; small "ROBUST" in an inlay on underside. Straight English style grip checkered in skipline pattern with sling swivel at toe, horn buttplate with "MF" in a laurel wreath. CONDITION: Good as rehabilitated. Barrels have been reblacked over some minor pitting towards muzzle. Much case color is visible in protected areas but largely faded. Stock with an extra application of old varnish with some cracqulure, bumps and bruises, and pressure marks throughout; one distinct strike near sling swivel. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bores are good with some orange peel near breeches. EW
