Lot consists of: (A) Model 1836 flintlock single-shot smoothbore pistol made in 1837 by Robert Johnson in Middletown, Connecticut. Smoothbore round barrel with brass half moon front sight with "JH" and "P" proofs at rear of barrel. Gun has captured ramrod. Original flintlock with brass pan marked "U.S. R. Johnson Middn Conn 1837". Walnut stock with iron hardware and illegible proofs on left side. CONDITION: Overall good with metal surfaces turning a grey patina. Wood is solid with oil-soaked appearance and handling marks. Dark bore with good mechanics. (B) Relic Model 1836 flint pistol same as previous pistol but dated 1841. CONDITION: Relic with missing lock parts and incorrect cock. Overall pitted surfaces with solid walnut stock with visible cartouches. Good candidate for restoration or parts donation. DLM
