"Bar-in-Wood" round action shotgun made in Scotland by James MacNaughton circa the early 20th Century. Damascus steel barrels with smooth concave rib marked "James MacNaughton 26 Hanover Street, Edinburgh and Perth" and a gold "A" meaning gun was part of a pair. Polished steel scroll engraved action edges with blued engraved trigger bow and polished scroll engraved plate. Gun has double triggers and ejectors with flip style safety. Checkered figured walnut English style grip buttstock with gold medallion inscribed "G. Thornton Feddal" with hard rubber checkered buttplate. Walnut checkered splinter type forearm with gold "A" in center diamond and a push button release. Beautifully made gun. CONDITION: Gun appears to have been totally professionally refinished with nearly all finish remaining. Left barrel has small dent on bottom side 6 inches from muzzle. Gun has mirror bores and excellent mechanics. DLM
