British "India Pattern" Brown Bess smoothbore musket made in 1814. In the white finish smoothbore barrel with blade front sight and view proofs and acceptance stamps. Flint lock dated 1814 with East India Company "Rampant Lion" proof. Walnut full musket stock with brass hardware and unknown rectangular hole carved in left side near buttplate. Comes with original steel ramrod. CONDITION: Metal turning to a silvery patina with some slight surface blemishes and pitting. Stock has been broken around wrist and cracks are exposed. Trigger guard has been broken with extra screw used to repair. Small chip missing from toe area with stock having an oil soaked appearance. Dark bore full of cosmoline. Good mechanics. DLM
