Lot consists of: (A) Belgian Copy of a French 1777 Charleville style musket made circa the early 1800's. Round, rifled barrel with blade front sight and block for bayonet attachment. Belgian proof mark on top of barrel. Original flintlock with illegible markings. Walnut Charleville style stock with dished out cheek. Stock has unreadable markings on the right-hand side. Three steel barrel bands and iron stock furniture with steel ramrod. CONDITION: Overall good with metal having some slight surface pitting. Tang looks to have been repaired. Wood is solid with an oil-soaked appearance. Bore dark and full of cosmoline. Good mechanics. (B) Converted French Charleville style Sergeants or musketoon shorter style musket with tang dated 1816. Round smoothbore barrel with blade front sight and tang dated 1816 with unit markings on top "16 IB 343" with other illegible markings on left barrel flat. Fixed lug for socket bayonet mounting. Original arsenal marked plate with percussion conversion. CONDITION: Overall poor with surface pitting. Oil-soaked wood with no major repairs or breaks. Dark bore full of cosmoline with good mechanics. DLM
