Standard 98k configuration. Made at Mauser-Borsigwalde in 1940. Marked on the top of the receiver with "243" code and full date. Eagle M stamp in stock for Kriegsmarine. "N" marked on left side of the take down disc for "Nord" fleet. There is no number following the mark. Laminated stock. Numbers on the gun are matching with the exception of the band spring. Cleaning rod is unmarked and a possible replacement. Brown leather sling is an original. CONDITION: Retains 85% blued finish. Markings are clear. Some light surface rust here and there. Stock has some dings and handling marks, markings are clear. Bore is fine with sharp rifling. Fine mechanical function. The band spring has had the end trimmed to fit better. GR
