The blade of this Third Reich SA Dagger is maker marked for the firm of "Carl Eickhorn". The blade features a fine factory cross-graining, which runs most of the blades length, as well as some light runner marks and scattered freckling. The blade has remnants of cosmoline in a few areas. The upper and lower cross guards are made of solid nickel silver which has developed an attractive nicotine patina evenly throughout. The lower cross guard is stamped with the the mark "Wf", which is the initials for the SA Gruppe "Westfalen". The rosewood grip features a nickel silver eagle and enameled SA roundel. The grip has a natural patina throughout, and retains most of it's original color. A small blemish can be seen on the reverse of the grip. The daggers scabbard is constructed of an anodized scabbard body with solid nickel silver throat and drag fittings. The nickel silver fittings have developed a natural nicotine patina as well, which match the patina of the daggers hand guards perfectly. The scabbard body retains most of the of its original anodizing and protective lacquering. Scattered freckling can be observed on the scabbard body. This SA Dagger features an uncommon leather hanger system which is marked with the DRGM mark. The leather hanger shows natural age and wear, and is undamaged. CONDITION: EXCELLENT D.W.
