Half moon front sight, beveled U-notch rear sight. Left side of slide with 2 line 2 block address and patent information in serif font with Rampant Colt at rear, right side with "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY". "H" stamped vertically at top of firing pin retaining plate channel. Barrel with a small "5" in front of lug, what appears to be a "U" on right side of lug. Top of frame with "H" "G" pr "R" near disconnector hole, other numerical subinspections on rails and in dust cover. Checkered slide release, left side only safety, and spurred hammer. 1911 short grip safety, smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Truncated diamond checkered walnut grips. Magazine marked "A" on baseplate lip. Comes in a cardboard box mimicking a 1911A1 issue box that has had a label taped over the top, offering a description the gun. CONDITION: Good as assembled. Slide is from an earlier gun than frame with serif font, which is possibly a reroll. Frame has been touched up with cold blue or equivalent in a few places with some light pitting visible in a few areas. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore has strong rifling with some frosting in lands. Magazine has added blue. Box is fine with some age related distress. EW
