Customized SMLE Enfield built by Birmingham Small Arms Company circa 1920 known as a Lee Speed rifle. Blued tapered barrel with hooded front sight and express rear sight. Barrel marked "Proved and Sighted for the Mark VII .303 High Velocity Cartridge". British proofs and "BSA Logo" on breech of barrel. Blued Enfield action with stripper clip guide removed. Safety removed and fitted on the bolt. Bridge of action marked "Made in England". Non-military style trigger with modified clip. Walnut checkered 2-piece stock with horn nosepiece and grip cap. Steel buttplate with trapdoor and cleaning supplies inside. Wonderful made rifle. CONDITION: 90% original finish with light usage marks. 90% original varnish with light usage dings. Crisp bore and mechanics. DLM
