Tall serrated slope front sight with adjustable rear sight. Colt Ace .22 upper with floating chamber. Unknown manufacturer frame with "C655500" on right side of frame, G500" under right grip. Left side spuriously stamped with FJA and P inspector proofs. Narrow checkered hammer, stamped trigger, serrated safety and slide release, long 1911A1 grip safety, and arched checkered mainspring housing. Postwar fiber grips. Double pinned ace base with straight loading assist. Housed in an unmarked cardboard box. CONDITION: Very good as refinished. Metal parts have been reparkerized with softened legends throughout as a result. Some normal handling and use marks throughout. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good with strong rifling and some abrasion on lands. Box has normal age related distress and rubbing. EW
