Springfield Model 1903 bolt action magazine rifle made in 1918. Blued arsenal finished barrel with "SA", flaming bomb, and "9-18" markings. Banded blade front sight with rear adjustable military style sight. Walnut reinforced finger groove stock with "P" in circle proof and rack markings. "RAP" cartouche which is a Raritan Arsenal stock marking, which is a rebuild mark. Milled trigger guard and smooth face buttplate. Original high hump handguard and forend piece. Comes with unmarked period black leather sling and original oiler in butt. CONDITION: 50% fading arsenal finish on metal parts with stock having been cleaned with added coat of finish applied. Leather strap has cracking but is solid. Good shootable bore and good mechanics. DLM
