Parker "VHE" Grade side by side shotgun made by Parker Brothers after being bought by Remington Arms, Ilion, New York. Built in 1936. Blued unmarked barrels with matted rib and twin bead sights and ejectors. Barrels marked on flats "Skeet In" and "Skeet Out". Case hardened "O" frame with line "VH" engraving with "PARKER" name engraved below the hinge with Parker single selective trigger and non-automatic safety. Factory English style grip with matching serial number on wood under tang. Stock has checkered "VH" pattern with late style Parker plastic buttplate. Walnut beavertail forearm with a latch release. Comes with leather covered case with snap caps, oil bottle and wooden jointed cleaning rod. CONDITION: 80% original barrel blue with some light freckling and mirror bores. 40% fading case turning to a plum color. Wood has been cleaned with light oil added finish. Good mechanics. Case in good shape with some handling marks and dings. Great gun with excellent dimensions. DLM
CORRECTION: According to "Parker Gun Identification & Serialization" compiled by Charles E. Price and S.P. Fjestad, this particular gun originally had a capped pistol grip stock. Straight grip stock is numbered to gun underneath tang.
