Taken in 1919 while wintering at the Carolina Hotel in Pinehurst, North Carolina, Annie and Frank dressed up for a Valentine's Day costume ball. Annie personally made the whimsical "Indian" outfit adorned with pheasant feathers, that she probably bagged herself. Note she also is wearing contents of her jewelry box including rings, charm bracelet, and layers of beaded necklaces. They are from the collection of Bess Moses Edwards, grandniece of Annie Oakley. A signed letter by Beth Moses Edwards dated October 30, 2013 authenticating the images as described will be included in the sale. CONDITION: Excellent overall showing modest wear and light staining. -MKS-
LOT OF TWO: ANNIE OAKLEY PHOTOGRAPH AND POSTCARD.
