The Browning M2HB machine gun was heavily utilized by the U.S. Military during the course of WWII. It's utilization varied from aircraft guns, anti-aircraft guns on sea vessels, armored fighting vehicles such as the M45 Quadmount, and infantry use. Revered for it's reliability, the M2HB continues to be used today, albeit with some modifications. This example is equipped with an M25 pedestal mount (which would have been fitted onto the M3 half-track line of armored personnel carriers during WWII), a pedestal mount cradle, an M23 cradle assembly with ammo tray, an additional ammo tray, an ammo can, and a canvas tripod cover. Bolt is under tension, and can be operated manually, but cannot completely cock. Charging handle assembly is missing two screws, and is retained by one screw on either side of the assembly. CONDITION: Metal components on gun retain the majority of their green re-parkerized finished, exhibiting some wear, as well as areas of oxidation. Bore is dark, but retains well defined rifling throughout. Accessories show varying degrees of oxidation, as well as some flaking to their paint, but appear perfectly serviceable. An extremely attractive Browning M2HB display machine gun! -MLW-
