DSP. A nice example of this iconic sign from Shell Gasoline. Side one shows very good color with a clean field showing five areas of light chipping but clean Shell script. The outer edge shows some heavier chipping at the left and right with two small holes drilled causing the chipping. Side one shows some minimal outer edge chipping as well but overall fair. Side two shows very good color but does show heavy wear and chipping in the field as well as chipping at the outer edge. Side two shows areas of staining and low gloss, but still has an excellent patina type look to it and may clean up some. Although worn, the sign displays well and has a great barn hanger look to it that would display well outdoors. Sign is Ink Stamped Property Of Shell Petroleum Corp. & Dated 1936.
