U.S. Model 1819 Hall Breechloading Carbine made at Harper's Ferry Arsenal in 1839. Round rifled barrel with German silver notched sight with rear notched sight. Original flint lock breech loading mechanism marked "J.H. Hall H. Ferry U.S. 1839". Walnut stock with two remaining barrel bands and iron hardware. CONDITION: Gun has been cut down from original 32 -5/8" barrel with forestock and front barrel band missing from second band on out. Front sight is added and is off to one side. Metal parts have a fine coat of surface rust with some what looks to be paint splattered on the barrel. Wood has either what looks to be paint or some other substance causing severe discoloration of the wood. Dark bore with good mechanics. Missing ramrod. DLM
