c. early 1900's. This Caille Bros. Washington scale is nicely restored. This is believed to be an earlier version with a tin lithographed face, not the later cardboard style. The porcelain base is in good original condition and was not part of the restoration. Considering the age and intended use, and the fact that these scales were often not in an enclosed space, the example has led an easy life. A great piece.
