Classic configuration with blade front sight, integral notch rear sight, top strap, single action with fixed checkered hammer, slide down gate, and "skull crusher" grip. Additionally, gun has been engraved by Merwin and Hulbert in traditional floral and punch dot pattern with vignettes of wide eyed birds on sidepanel. Ivory grips scribed "23" on interiors. CONDITION: Very good, retaining much of the period nickeling with several areas of flaking, primarily to cylinder. Scattered bumps and scratches throughout. Areas of patina at backstrap and cylinder. Flashes of case coloring visible on trigger guard, trigger, and hammer. Action needs attention as it does not work appropriately in double action, occasionally failing to cock and drop the hammer. Bore is good with strong rifling and some abrasion throughout. Grips are very good with a mellow age patina.
