Smith and Wesson First Model double action six shot revolver made by Smith and Wesson Arms, Springfield, Massachusetts made between 1881 and 1899. Blued 6 -1/2" round rifled barrel with rib. Pinned pedestal front sight with Smith and Wesson address and patents, 1869, 1871, 1879 and 1880. Six shot blued 1 -7/16" cylinder with extra grooves. Blued top break frame with case hardened trigger and hammer with formed triggerguard and black checkered "S&W" Grips. CONDITION: 80% blue with some holster wear and some freckling. Good grips and bore with good mechanics. A nice example of an early Smith and Wesson. DLM
