1884 vintage Winchester Model 1876 lever action rifle, serial number 48274. 28" octagon barrel with full length magazine tube chambered in .45-60 Winchester Center Fire with adjustable leaf rear sight and German silver blade front. 2 piece plain walnut stock complete with rifle forearm cap and rifle buttplate with butt trap (trap is empty). CONDITION: Very good with almost all of the original finish turned to a dove gray patina with scattered light pitting and handling marks. Magazine tube retainer assembly dovetail has been welded and recut. Stock and forearm are good as sanded and refinished but remain strong with no visible cracks or repairs with moderate handling marks. Action works correctly, locks tightly, and is smooth in operation. Bore is dark with visible rifling. -TN-
