1882 vintage Winchester Model 1876 Saddle Ring Carbine, serial number 24103. 22" round barrel chambered in .45-60 WCF. Saddle ring with staple mounted to left side of frame. Plain straight grain walnut stock and full length forearm. Carbine style steel buttplate. Replaced aftermarket rear sight. Accompanying Winchester Archival Letter dated May 23,2019 signed by Jessica Bennett, Records Specialist. Letter documents configuration and shipment on July 20, 1882 to order number 33830. CONDITION: Fine overall. Barrel and frame are mostly a grey/brown patina with areas of cold blue and traces of original blue. Wood has been lightly sanded with multiple repaired cracks in the stock wrist. Bore is fine with moderate abrasion. Action is tight and crisp. -MKS-
