1897 vintage Colt Single Action Army Revolver. As documented by factory archival letter signed by M.S. Huber, Historian dated December 11, 1986. Blue with case hardened frame and hammer. 4 - 3/4" barrel chambered in .41 Colt. 2 line barrel address. Checkered 2 piece, black hard rubber grips with Rampant Colt motif. Shipped to Simmons Hardware Co., St. Louis Mo. July 26, 1897 in a shipment of 10 same type guns. CONDITION: Near fine with an overall grey/brown patina. Cylinder has been reblued, with approximately 75-80% reapplied finish remaining. Barrel has been polished at some point leaving the address light. Action is crisp. Bore has moderate abrasions. Grips are near excellent showing heavy wear to the checkering. -MKS-
