Manufactured 1917. Half moon front sight and square notch rear sight. 2 line 2 block patent and address information with pony at rear. Right side with "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY". "H" stamped on top on firing pin retaining plate channel. Barrel with "H P" parallel to bore. Barrel with serif "A" on right lug. Left side of dust cover with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY". Stewart inspection on left side of frame. Spurred checkered bordered hammer, checkered slide release with relief mill cut, checkered magazine release with concave screw slot, checkered safety. Short 1911 grip safety. Smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Truncated diamond walnut grips. Later production magazine. CONDITION: Very good, with much of a dull blue mixing with some old oxidation and patina throughout. Some minor pitting visible under blue on the top of the slide. Right side of frame with more oxidation than left. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good with well defined rifling and some oxidation in lands. EW
