Half moon front sight, square notch rear sight. 2 line 2 block patent and address information with intercepting pony. "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY". Barrel with P proof on left lug. Serrated slide release, checkered magazine release, checkered hammer, long grip safety, arched knurled mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Short stamped trigger. Left side of frame with "United States Property", "AA" stamp for Augusta arsenal rebuild, and "(Eagle) / S6" inspector stamp. Grips are modern reproductions. CONDITION: Good as reconditioned at the Augusta Arsenal for possible World War II use. Retains most of the arsenal refinish with normal markings throughout from handling and operation. Some wear at high edges consistent with muzzle wear. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good with strong rifling.
