Manufacturing 1917. Half moon front sight, U notch rear sight. Left side of slide with 2 line 2 block patent and address information with pony at rear, right side with "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY". Barrel with "-COLT 45 AUTO-" on top of chamber and "PM" on right side of lug. Left side of dust cover with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY". Long milled trigger. Checkered magazine release, slide release, safety, and spurred hammer. Short 1911 grip safety. Smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Magazine with "R" stamping on lip of baseplate for Risdon manufacture. Truncated diamond walnut grips. CONDITION: Very good as refinished over scattered areas of pitting with some newer oxidation present on top of bluing as well. Some minor marks form handling and operation throughout. Action works appropriately, bore is very good with strong rifling. EW
