Sharp's Carbine converted as part of the 1867 contract from percussion to cartridge in 1868. Blued relined 3 groove rifled carbine barrel with pinned blade front sight and flip graduated rear sight and "F" inspector mark on left side at breech. Case hardened action with Sharp's and Lawrence patents. Cam firing pin conversion. Slide bar with ring. Walnut plain stock with "DFC" banner cartouche in center of left side of stock. "F" cartouche walnut foream with steel spring band. CONDITION: 80% plus bluing on barrel with a super bore. 70% case colors with balance turning a silver patina. Wood has sharp cartouches with traces of hand rubbed finish remaining. Great mechanics with crisp action. Good example. DLM
