Spencer Model 1865 Carbine made by The Spencer Repeating Rifle Company, Boston, Massachusetts circa 1865. Blued tapered round carbine barrel with 6 groove rifling, pinned blade front sight, flip rear graduated sight, "W" cartouche on left at breech and marked on top "M 1865". Case hardened action with visible inspector mark in front of saddle ring bar, no Stabler cutoff and "M" on lever. Plain wood stock with visible cartouches "CHM" and "DAJ" in boxes to rear of sling bar. Original sling swivels. CONDITION: Gun is in super condition with 80% plus barrel blue and a super bore. 70% plus fading case colors. Wood has handling marks and dings with traces of original finish. Screws have traces of original fire blue. Great mechanics. DLM
