Half moon front sight, square notch rear sight. Barrel with "-COLT 45 AUTO-" legend on top of chamber, "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY" on right side of slide, and 2 line 2 block patent and address information with intercepting pony on left side. Narrow hammer has been post factory checkered in a skipline pattern. Serrated slide release and thumb safety. Long 1911A1 grip safety. Checkered magazine release. Long serrated face trigger with hole drilled just behind face, probably for mounting a shoe. Smooth flat mainspring housing. Stippled front strap. Left grip is a Coltwood, right is a Keyes fiber. CONDITION: Good as completely refinished with a few areas of light pitting under newer blue. Sides of slide with visible areas of chemical cleaning. Normal handling marks throughout consistent with use. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good with strong rifling. Hammer occasionally follows slide when slide is released.
