Manufactured 1934. Tall thick blade front sight, adjustable rear sight. Early barrel with pre floating chamber design. Narrow checkered hammer, safety, slide release, magazine release. Long 1911A1 grip safety. Arched serrated mainspring housing. Heart shaped lightening cuts under ivory grips relief carved with a descending eagle. Recoil spring guide rod with an added homemade brass plug to help compress spring. Gun has been engraved throughout in relief tendrils. 2 tone magazine with viewport following contour of magazine. CONDITION: Gun is now a smooth gunmetal grey, a result of the preparatory work for the engraving, with some scattered handling and use marks. Grip safety, hammer, and mainspring housing later additions as they do not exhibit the same color as balance of pistol. Some silvering to operational areas, trigger has some spotting from a cleaner of some kind that was dripped on it. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent with crisp rifling. Grips are very good, solid, with a few dings and acquiring an age patina. EW
