Manufactured 1948. Classically configured with square notch rear sight, serrated slope front sight, narrow hammer, arched serrated mainspring housing, short serrated trigger. Sambar stag grips with inlaid Texas rangers star engraved with Texas Rangers motifs. Frame and slide extensively engraved with florals on a punch dot background with reserves for Colt legends and a Texas Ranger star on top of slide. Engraved signed "DD" near serial number. Magazine baseplate engraved. CONDITION: Very good as custom finished and engraved. Gun is a smooth storm grey throughout, engraving is crisp. Some normal marks from handling and operation. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good with strong rifling and some frosting in lands. EW
