First year of manufacture. Serrated ramp front sight and square notch rear sight. Serrated small parts and arched mainspring housing. Serrated trigger. Pistol has been masterfully engraved with acanthus on a punch dot background throughout and signed under grips "ALP", unfortunately unknown. Ivory grips relief carved with an eagle mid descent. Barrel with .38 Super Auto legend. CONDITION: Good. Pistol was polished to an "in-the-white" appearance prior to engraving and has some spotting scattered throughout the gun. Hand cut engraving is crisp and attractive. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent with strong rifling. Grips are strong with a mellow age patina but no cracks. Trigger is marred from when a trigger shoe was installed at one point and later removed. Colt magazine with some losses from use. A well engraved and attractive pistol. EW
