Winchester Model 1885 single shot Lo-Wall Training rifle known as the "Winder Musket" made in early 1920's. Blued round tapered barrel with integral front sight and no provision for rear sight. Barrel marked with Winchester address and patent and caliber .22 Short near breech. Winchester proof mark and mail order proof mark "P" in circle. Blued Lo-wall action with plain trigger and Lyman receiver sight with tang marked with "U.S." and "(Flaming bomb)". Walnut plain musket style stock with blued steel buttplate and military swivel. Walnut finger groove forearm with blued steel nose cap and spring clip held front sling swivel barrel band. CONDITION: 60% original blue with fading areas of carry wear and 2 small areas blue wear on barrel that look like nicks. Action has some frosting with corners worn silver. Wood has been cleaned with usage marks and dings. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
