Flintlock fowler made in the Germanic style circa the late 1700s or early 1800s. Octagon to round smoothbore barrel with blade front sight and notched rear sight with brass band around breech. Flint lock with single trigger control. Walnut full stock with raised floral carving behind cheekpiece and around tang. Floral raised carving around tailpipe continuing into a moulding line. Fine engraved brass furniture including an over the comb engraved buttplate. Gun has brass lock side plate with floral design and two piercings with the name "Albert Schuchart" engraved nicely across sideplate. CONDITION: Gun has been restored with added forestock wood from tailpipe to muzzle. Lock is a replacement. Small wood repairs on right side of stock. Missing sling swivel bow on trigger guard and in buttstock. Pitted bore with sticky mechanics. Wonderfully decorative piece even with restoration. DLM
