Half moon front sight, round top U notch rear sight. Left side of slide with 2 line 2 block patent and address information, last patent date February 14, 1911; pony at rear of slide. "YV" and "S" subinspector proofs on top of bridle near disconnector hole. Barrel with "P" proof oriented to read with to barrel down, "N" in front of lug. Fire blued small parts. Relief milled slide stop, checkered safety, checkered magazine release, long milled trigger, short grip safety, smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Magazine release is concave with screw slot. Truncated diamond checkered walnut grips, 2 tone dual pinned base magazine with lanyard loop. CONDITION: Fine, retaining the majority of the attractive highly polished early Colt blue with some normal handling marks and silvering at high edges and muzzle consistent with holster wear. Grip straps are essentially patina with a few flashes of blue. Fire bluing has lost much of its vibrant color but is still present. Some silvering at operational points. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good with strong rifling. Magazine is refinished in a 2 tone pattern with colors muted; grips are replacements that do not fit quite right. EW
