1861 vintage Colt Model 1860 Army revolver serial number 16329. 8" round barrel chambered in .44 caliber percussion. 4-screw frame, cut for detachable shoulder stock. Brass trigger guard, iron backstrap. 1 piece oil finished walnut grips. Blue with case hardened frame, hammer, and loading lever. Matching serial numbers found on barrel, frame, trigger guard, backstrap, cylinder, and wedge. Ainsworth inspection cartouche on left side of grip. Correct government inspection marks observed on barrel, cylinder, hammer, trigger guard, and backstrap. Complete with a reproduction detachable shoulder stock. CONDITION: Revolver is excellent, showing a blue/grey patina overall. Strong traces of original case colors on frame, hammer and loading lever. Grips are excellent showing modest wear. Bore is excellent showing modest abrasions, with strong rifling. Action is tight and crisp. Overall a very clean and attractive Civil War Era Martially Marked Model 1860 Army. Displays very nice with reproduction shoulder stock. -MKS-
