Lot consists of: (A) Springfield Model 1898 Krag bolt action rifle made in 1903. Blued tapered barrel with added Enfield style front sight and Springfield 1903 rear sight. Blued action with "Model 1898 U.S. Springfield " marking on left-hand frame. Walnut carbine length stock with finger groove, "P" in circle proof with sling swivels and trapdoor buttplate. CONDITION: 70% overall finish with gun having been cut down from its original rifle configuration. Good shootable bore with good mechanics. (B) Springfield Model 1898 Krag bolt action carbine built in 1898. Blued tapered round barrel with integral front sight and adjustable rear sight. Blued action with "Model 1898 U.S. Springfield Armory" marking. Walnut carbine stock with finger grooves and saddle ring bar. Stock has cartouche that's illegible with "P" in circle proof on pistol grip. Walnut top wood. Steel hardware with trapdoor buttplate. CONDITION: Gun appears to be an original carbine but has undergone some restoration with some of the metal parts being reblued. Stock has been cleaned with some light handling marks. Good shootable bore with good mechanics. DLM
