Colt Service Model Ace conversion on a 1918 Colt 1911 frame. Tall serrated front sight, Ace adjustable rear sight. Right side of the slide with Colt Service Model Ace rollmark. Colt 1911 frame with Eagle proof on left side, serial number on right. Checkered narrow checkered hammer, slide release, magazine release. Serrated safety, misfit, and short 1911 grip safety, smooth mainspring housing with lanyard. Magazine does not quite drop free. Ivory grips with Colt silver medallions. CONDITION: Good. Frame reblued at one point with some of the old blue mixing with patina and a few spots of pitting visible underneath. Slide is very good, retaining much of the blue with mixing of patina. Right side of slide has an area of old oxidation. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good with strong rifling and some abrasions in lands. EW
