Manufactured in 1939, this Colt Woodman Match Target pistol features all blue finish, with a 6 - 5/8" barrel featuring a fixed front sight with a windage adjustable rear sight. The left side of the barrel is marked with a bullseye target in between "MATCH/ TARGET", with Colt's two line address across the top. Left side of the frame is marked "THE WOODSMAN". Slide is marked with Colt's manufacturer and caliber details, and is followed by the Rampant Colt logo. Bottom of magazine is marked "COLT/ CAL. 22 L.R.". Pistol is mounted with 2 piece Colt brown plastic checkered grips. CONDITION: Metal components retain most of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some concentrated areas of wear that show through to patina, edge wear, and some light freckling all around. There is some light pitting present around the muzzle and a small area on the rear grip strap. Mirror bore, showing what appears to be one isolated area of light pitting, and retaining well defined rifling throughout. Checkered brown plastic grips retain sharp checkering and show few minor handling marks. -MLW-
