Lot consist of: (A) Colt Officers Model 38 double action revolver. Made 1926 with standard patent dates on top of the barrel. Matching serials on the yolk and frame. Round, steel barrel with adjustable blade front sight and U-notch rear. Factory blued finish with rampant Colt pony on the left side of the frame. Original checkered wood grips with Colt medallions. CONDITION: Metal retains 98% of its original finish with little signs of use. Grips are excellent. Tight hammer and cylinder. Excellent timing and lockup. Mechanically excellent. (B) Colt Model New Army double action revolver. Made 1892-1896. Serials on the yolk, frame, and cylinder latch are all matching. Army applied serial on the butt reads "68212". Lacks inspector marks on the frame. barrel is marked "COLT. D.A. 38" on the left side with a "COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO./HARTFORD CT U.S.A. PAT. AUG.5 84 NOV 6 1888". Original blued finish. Later production wood grips with Colt medallions. CONDITION: Metal retains 50% of its original finish with areas of wear and patina. Wood grips have light wear. Bore is very good with crisp rifling. Hammer is tight, cylinder has some side to side movement. Timing and lock up are fine. Mechanically fine. JWA
