Lot consist of: (A) Colt New Service double action revolver. Made 1912. Round, steel barrel marked "NEW SERVICE 38 W.C.F." on the left side. Standard patent dates on the top of the barrel with a blade front sight and U-notch rear. Rampant Colt Pony and correct "VP" proof on the left side of the frame. Matching serials on the frame and yolk. Original finish, has worn to a grey patina in most areas. Correct fire blued trigger, cylinder latch and hammer. Original hard rubber Colt grips with lanyard ring on the butt. CONDITION: Metal retains little of its original finish with patina forming in most areas. Grips are very good with minor dings and scratches. Bore is clean overall, minus a few pits midway down the barrel. Very good rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Mechanically fine with excellent timing. (B) Colt Officers Model Target double action revolver. Made 1935. Standard patent dates on top of the barrel. Rampant Colt pony on the left side of the frame with "VP" proof on the trigger guard. Matching serials on the frame and yolk. Round steel barrel with adjustable blade front sight and adjustable U-notch rear. Factory blued finish with original checkered wood grips and Colt medallions. CONDITION: Metal retains 98% of its original finish with a few handling marks. Grips are excellent with a few handling marks. Bore is clean with sharp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Light drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically excellent with sharp timing and lockup. JWA
